Businesses in Olde West Chester, along a mile and a half stretch of Cincinnati-Dayton Road will usher in the holiday season by holding festive Open Houses. Over 1000 lighted luminaries will line the entire route. At 7pm everyone is invited to meet at the Township Offices for the Lighting of the Community Christmas Tree Ceremony. That will be followed by the
first annual Christmas Walk Dance, 'Some Enchanted Evening' at St. John's Center.
Saturday, November 14 from 12-8 p.m.
Businesses will continue to hold Open Houses, hosting raffles, door prizes, free gifts and lots of surprises. Along the route there will also be tethered hot air balloon rides, a car show, animals, make 'n take crafts and games for children and a mini-mall with 24 vendors. West Chester Presbyterian church will have it's traditional cookie walk at 1:00. Focus on Youth will host 24 vendors in a mini-mall. Also new this year will be historic tours. Throughout the day entertainment will fill the halls of St.John's Pavillion. As evening arrives the street will once again glow with lighted luminaries and at 7 p.m. the traditional West Chester Christmas Walk Parade* will take place.
Tethered Hot Air Balloon rides will be offered from 5-7 pm on Saturday (weather permitting)
Partners in Prime will be providing continuous bus service with several designated pick-up points on Saturday from 1:30 to 5:30.
The BloodMobile will be at the Village Spa from 12:30 to 2:30 for blood donations.
A new feature, the 'Non-Profit Village' will be highlighting local organizations that serve the local community.
The Chili Supper at St John's Center will be from 4-7 on Saturday
Fresh Kettlecorn, Apple Dumplings, Pulled Pork Sandwiches and Walking Tacos will be available along the walk.
The Cookie Walk at the West Chester Presbyterian Church will be from 1:00 - 4:00
Downing Dental Studio on Brookside is offering a Diaper Changing Station
Santa's House will be located at the Downing Dental Studio on Brookside
The Hilltopper Car Club and the Mustang Club will hold a cruise-in (weather permitting)
Entertainment throughout the day at St. John's Pavillion.
Large rafflle being held: Tickets for sale and items on display at the dance on Friday and again at the Entertainment Center (St. John's Pavillion) Saturday.
